No. onyt charges 0% platform fee on donations. Stripe’s payment processing fee (approximately 0.8%–3%, depending on payment method) is deducted from each donation and disclosed transparently to both donor and group. Nothing else.

All payments are processed by Stripe, one of the world’s largest payment processors. Stripe handles the card details, the security, and the transfers to your bank account. onyt never sees or stores your donors’ card information. Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified — the highest industry standard for payment security — and processes payments for hundreds of thousands of businesses across 120+ countries.

onyt is GDPR-compliant and based in the EU. We keep the minimum information needed to run your fundraising — donor name, email, donation amount. We don’t sell data, we don’t share it with advertisers, and onyt never sends your donors marketing emails. Donors can choose to donate anonymously, in which case their name is never shown to your group or publicly. You can download and export your data at any time, and delete your account whenever you want.

No. onyt works for registered non-profits, sports clubs, AMPAs, foundations, and also informal groups with no legal entity — residents’ associations, class parents, friend groups. Registered organisations get an optional verified badge; informal groups don’t need it.

Payouts run each business day. Funds typically land in your bank account about two business days after the donation, following Stripe’s standard payout schedule.

Yes. The onyt Terminal companion app works on any modern phone with Tap-to-Pay — no extra hardware needed, on every tier including Free. For bigger events you can also order a dedicated WisePad card reader (one-off hardware cost).
